Overview

Grapetree Bay Hotel sat vacant and destroyed for 30 years. In 2019, a group came together to buy and restore this beautiful hotel on the East End of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The hotel is on 45 acres of stunning Caribbean sea and offers 3 excellent restaurants for dining. The main attraction of this boutique hotel is the relaxation and serenity you get being out on the East End of St. Croix.

The Location

Nestled on the shores on the East End of St. Croix, Grapetree Bay Hotel is an off-grid hotel in a relatively remote location on the island. The hotel is positioned next to some unbelievable hikes to expansive mountain views and empty beaches where you’re likely to spot sea turtles nesting and birds soaring above the water. This is my favorite location in all of St. Croix as it really provides for the ultimate relaxing getaway!

My stay at Grapetree Bay Hotel was absolutely fabulous. Among all the hotels we’ve visited over the years, this one stood out for its exceptional guest experience. The staff is incredible friendly and they focus on personalizing the experience for their guests. The combination of relaxation by the pool and beach, delightful dining, and incredible hikes to remote places was perfect. The spa services, including in-room and beachfront massages, added a luxurious touch. What sets this hotel apart is its commitment to sustainability—being completely off-grid and eco-friendly.
